Leeds
Castle, Maidstone, Kent
Leeds
Castle, set on two islands on the River Len in the heart
of Kent, has been home to royalty, lords and ladies
for over 1000 years. Visitors are transported through
900 years of the castle’s history; an eclectic mix of
period architecture, sumptuous interiors and family
treasures waiting to be discovered.
This
remarkable castle, built on the instruction of William
the Conqueror, has been my family's home for 450 years.
Prior to the Watson's ownership the Castle was held
by the monarch. There are very few other homes that
have been continuously occupied for nearly 1000 years
and have had just two owners. I think this is a particularly
extraordinary aspect of Rockingham's long and fascinating
story.
Steeped
in history, Castle Ashby is one of the only stately
homes truly available on an exclusive use basis. The
House is perfect for board meetings, conferences, corporate
and incentive events.
